The Shaheen Holloway era is over at St. Peter's.

Less than a week after his team's loss to North Carolina in the Elite Eight, the former Seton Hall star is returning to his alma mater, where he will replace Kevin Willard as head coach.

Willard left Seton Hall for the head coaching job at Maryland earlier this month. There had since been growing speculation that Holloway would be his replacement. Now, it's official.

Seton Hall has officially announced Holloway as the program's next head coach.

According to college basketball insider Jeff Goodman, Holloway is signing a six-year deal with the Seton Hall men's basketball program.

Holloway is one of the best players in Seton Hall history. He will return to his alma mater, which has been a mainstay in the NCAA Tournament over the last six years or so under Willard.
