Notre Dame fans aren't happy with the state of the team's offense following Saturday night's blowout loss to Michigan. Some are even calling for a change at quarterback.

Ian Book, the team's starter, struggled in the 45-14 loss to the Wolverines. The senior QB completed just 8 of 25 passes for 73 yards and one touchdown.

There will be no quarterback change moving forward, though.

Kelly made it clear to the fan base this afternoon: Book is Notre Dame's starting quarterback.

“There is not a quarterback controversy. There isn’t any kind of conversation about making a change. Ian is our starter," he said.

Notre Dame will have a new quarterback in 2020, as this is Book's final season, but barring an injury, it doesn't look like anyone else will start in 2019.

The Fighting Irish will look to get back in the win column on Saturday.

Notre Dame and Virginia Tech are set to kick off at 2:30 p.m. E.T. on NBC.
