On Friday morning, it was reported that LeBron James declined his player option with the Cleveland Cavaliers. He will become a free agent ahead of the 2018-19 season after turning down the $35.6 million he had waiting for him if he opted in.

With James entering free agency many teams will reach out to the King in hopes of landing the NBA's best player. However, the hunt for LeBron could be down to just two teams.

The Los Angeles Lakers, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Philadelphia 76ers are the favorites in the eyes of oddsmakers in Las Vegas. Yet, ESPN's Brian Windhorst thinks the true race is between just two teams.

Windy thinks LeBron's decision will come down to the Lakers and Cavaliers.

LeBron reportedly wants to make a quick decision, so it would make sense that he's not meeting with more than a few teams. Entering his 16th NBA season, James understands the league and what he brings a team.

Windhorst reported that LeBron is likely to make his decision around July 4.

Stay tuned.
