One of the top free agents in the NFL is officially off the market. Former Denver Broncos cornerback Chris Harris has revealed where he'll be playing next season.
Harris was one of the key members of the Denver team that won the Super Bowl during the 2015 campaign. His ability to play on the outside and in the slot makes him one of the most versatile cornerbacks in the league.
Although he'll remain in the AFC West, Harris will not play for the Broncos this fall. According to ESPN insider Josina Anderson, the All-Pro cornerback is signing with the Los Angeles Chargers.
The Chargers weren't the only team showing interest in Harris. Both the Eagles and Saints had interesting in signing the 30-year-old defensive back.
Perhaps the former Super Bowl champion is toward the back end of his career, but he still has gas left in the tank.
Harris should improve a Los Angeles secondary that features an elite safety in Derwin James.
Los Angeles has done quite well this offseason, trading for Trai Turner and signing Bryan Bulaga. However, there's a little bit of uncertainty at quarterback since the team will hand the starting job over to Tyrod Taylor.
Nonetheless, the AFC West as a whole continues to improve this offseason.
