Tiger Woods and Brooks Koepka will be paired together in the opening rounds of the 2019 PGA Championship, set to begin on Thursday. The two star American golfers, along with Francesco Molinari, are in the premier group featuring the most-recent major champions.
The featured group will tee off at 8:24 a.m. E.T. on Thursday morning. This year’s tournament is being played at Bethpage Black in New York.
Ahead of his pairing, Koepka addressed the idea of “fearing” Tiger Woods.
Spoiler warning: He’s not.
Koepka, one of the least-fazed players on the tour, understands that Tiger being “back” is great for the sport, but he’s not afraid of the competition.
“What’s the point on fearing anybody?” Koepka said at his press conference this morning. “We’re not fighting. He’s not going to knock my teeth in. He’s not going to hurt me. So what’s to be afraid of?”
Koepka asked about his comment that he does not fear Tiger, 'What’s the point on fearing anybody? We’re not fighting. He’s not going to knock my teeth in. He’s not going to hurt me. So what’s to be afraid of?'

That’s a fair point.
And, if they were to fight, Koepka would obviously have the advantage. Woods is pretty ripped for a 43-year-old golfer, but Koepka is built like a fullback.
