Watch: Auburn Coach Bruce Pearl Cries When Asked About Chuma Okeke's Injury

Bruce Pearl cries when asked about Chuma Okeke.

The Auburn Tigers knocked off 1-seed North Carolina on Friday night to punch their ticket to the Elite Eight. Unfortunately, it looks like they may have lost one of their stars in the process.

With just over eight minutes to play, Auburn sophomore forward Chuma Okeke suffered what appeared to be a significant knee injury. Okeke needed to be helped off the floor, and he did not return to the game.

Okeke, before he went down, had 20 points and 11 assists. He was playing incredibly well.

After the game, CBS reporter Jamie Erdahl asked Auburn head coach Bruce Pearl about how his team would move forward potentially without Okeke. Pearl broke down.

Pearl was unable to answer for a few seconds, and cried through the rest of the interview. He noted that Okeke was the "best player on the floor" all night.

The extent of Okeke's injury is unknown, but it looked serious.

Auburn will now move on to take on the winner of Kentucky vs. Houston, which will be played later tonight.
