Cam Newton and Kelvin Benjamin are former teammates. They probably won't be getting dinner together any time soon.

Benjamin was traded to the Buffalo Bills midway through last season. He's with his new team tonight taking on his old team to open up preseason action.

Of course, Benjamin blasted Newton in a recent interview, making any interaction they will have tonight worth keeping an eye on. It already sounds like their pregame encounter didn't go well.

By the accounts of media in attendance, it was short and tense.

Benjamin shredded Newton's accuracy and football acumen in the now-infamous interview with The Athletic. Those quotes led to tonight's awkward meeting.

“Any other accurate quarterback like [Aaron] Rodgers or Eli Manning or Big Ben [Roethlisberger] — anybody! — quarterbacks with knowledge, that know how to place a ball and give you a better chance to catch the ball," he said. "It just felt like I wasn’t in that position.”

We have a feeling these two won't be shaking hands after the game. Update: Video has emerged.
