Former No. 1 overall NFL Draft pick Cam Newton is currently without a team. That could be the case for the foreseeable future, too.
Newton, 30, was released by the Carolina Panthers earlier this week. It’s unclear who will have interest in signing the former Auburn Tigers star.
When healthy, Newton is one of the most-dominant quarterbacks in the NFL. “When healthy” is a very important clarification, though. The Heisman Trophy winner has struggled to stay healthy in recent seasons and it’s unclear where he’s at now, health-wise.
Newton has posted some workout videos on Instagram this month. The former Panthers quarterback showed off his throwing arm in one of the videos.
The veteran NFL quarterback appears to throw the ball about 40 yards with relative ease in the final slide below:
Hopefully Newton can get to 100 percent health and get back to dominating defenses on the NFL field.
The Chargers, Jaguars, Dolphins and Redskins, among other teams, could all be potential fits for the former Panthers QB.
