Carmelo Anthony is no longer on the Oklahoma City Thunder roster. Anthony was traded to the Atlanta Hawks along with a protected first-round pick in exchange for Dennis Schroder and Mike Muscala.

Atlanta reportedly plans to waive the 10-time All-star, making Carmelo a free agent. Anthony will become a free agent once that process has been completed.

Once he becomes a free agent, Melo will be free to sign with any team. The Houston Rockets and Miami Heat were scene as the frontrunners for Melo.

According to a report from NBA insider David Aldridge, Carmelo already knows where he wants to play - Houston.

Melo has reportedly been telling people he will end up in Houston with the Rockets. Houston lost wing depth this offseason when Trevor Ariza and Luc Mbah a Moute left in free agency.

Melo will head to his fourth team in the past three years (including Atlanta).

The Houston Rockets paced the Western Conference with 65 wins in 2017-18. What will next season have in store for the team if it signs Carmelo Anthony?
