Carmelo Anthony spent the 2017-18 season as a member of the Oklahoma City Thunder. He likely won't return as Sam Presti and company are working on a way to shed Melo's contract.
According to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN, the Houston Rockets and Miami Heat were interested in a conversation with Melo. That report came earlier this week.
Now, Woj is saying Anthony has met with both the Rockets and the Heat this week in Las Vegas, where the Summer League is taking place.
Here's his report.
Woj is also reporting that the Thunder are working on trade scenarios where Anthony could be moved as an expiring contract. The 10-time All-Star holds a no-trade clause that he'll need to waive in order to facilitate a deal.
If the two sides can't work out a trade, Melo will likely become a free agent as a result of a buyout. The Thunder can also use the stretch provision and stretch Melo's contract over three years.
Stay tuned for more on the Melo madness moving forward.
