It's been a rough start to the offseason for the Rockets. Houston lost two of its top forwards so far this offseason, with Trevor Ariza agreeing to a one-year deal with the Phoenix Suns and Luc Mbah a Moute agreeing to a one-year contract with the Los Angeles Clippers.

How will Houston counteract the losses of Mbah a Moute and Ariza? According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the team is focusing on a 10-time All-Star.

The Rockets are hoping to land Carmelo Anthony.

However, according to Woj's latest reports, the Rockets aren't alone. The Miami Heat are also in the Melo sweepstakes.

The Rockets will be a premium consideration for Anthony -- along with the Miami Heat, league sources said.

Anthony is soon to be a free agent if the Thunder can't guarantee a trade. The team will likely work on a buyout or stretch the contract.

Miami, Philadelphia, and the Lakers have all been mentioned as possible destinations for Melo. Although the Rockets hold a significant advantage in Las Vegas.

Stay tuned.
