Gordon Hayward had been playing like All-Star Gordon Hayward during the first few weeks of the 2019-20 NBA season. The former Utah Jazz star was finally starting to look like himself after a long road back from that brutal leg injury. Hayward was averaging more than 20 points a game, adding about eight rebounds and five assists a contest.
Unfortunately, Hayward has suffered another devastating injury.
The Boston Celtics announced tonight that Hayward suffered a fractured hand against San Antonio tonight.
“Gordon Hayward has been diagnosed with a left hand fracture after an x-ray examination and is out for the remainder of tonight’s game against San Antonio,” the Celtics tweeted.

The seriousness of the fracture has yet to be revealed, but Hayward will likely miss some major time as a result of this injury.
This is a devastating blow to both Hayward and the Celtics, who are playing as well as anyone in the Eastern Conference right now.
Hayward had already poured in nine points in Boston’s blowout over San Antonio tonight.
