Fox Sports analyst Colin Cowherd believes it's time for the Green Bay Packers to bench back-to-back league MVP Aaron Rodgers.

Rodgers and the Packers are fresh off a disappointing home loss to the Tennessee Titans on Thursday night. The veteran quarterback missed some key throws as he tried to will his team on a late-game comeback.

Rodgers is currently in the midst of one of the worst seasons of his NFL career, but could it really be time to bench the franchise QB?

Cowherd thinks it's time to sit Rodgers, get him healthy and see what former first-round pick Jordan Love can do at the quarterback position.

"There's a real argument to be made and I would make it. It's time to bench Aaron Rodgers," Cowherd said on Friday.

Rodgers signed a three-year, $150.8 million contract extension with the Packers prior to this season, keeping him under contract through 2026. His cap hit severely limits the flexibility of the team moving forward.

The Packers are 4-7 on the season, significantly behind the 8-1 Minnesota Vikings in the NFC North Standings.
