College basketball’s new Associated Press top 25 poll has been released.
It was another wild week in the college basketball world, highlighted by Duke’s ridiculous comeback win at North Carolina on Saturday night. The Blue Devils rallied from a double-digit deficit to force overtime and win the rivalry game on a last-second tip-in.
Duke wasn’t the only program to have a strong week. Maryland rose to the top of the Big Ten standings following an impressive road victory at Illinois. The Terrapins held firm at No. 9 overall in the AP Poll.
Baylor remains at No. 1 overall. The Bears are 21-1 and hoping to land a No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. Gonzaga, Kansas, San Diego State and Louisville round out the top five.
Here’s the complete top 25, from the AP:
- San Diego State
- Florida State
- Seton Hall
- Penn State
- West Virginia
- Texas Tech
The NCAA Tournament Selection Committee released its top 16 rankings this weekend, too. A lot can change between now and Selection Sunday, but the rankings are a good indication of what the bracket could end up looking like.
