Doug Edert of Saint Peter's had a shocking food take on Sunday afternoon when he spoke with ESPN.

Edert confirmed to Jeremy Schaap of Outside The Lines that he doesn't eat sandwiches. It doesn't matter if it's one from Chick-Fil-A, a Philly cheesesteak, or just a simple roast beef sandwich from the grocery store.

He truly won't eat any kind of sandwich.

"I'm the pickiest eater you'll ever meet," Edert said. "I've never had a wrap. I would say there's one time in my life that I took a bite of a chicken parm sandwich, but I never had it ever again. I don't eat sandwiches. I'll eat Italian bread and chicken, but not together."

The sports world is baffled that Edert has this opinion on sandwiches.

Edert will be hoping that Saint Peter's cinderella story will continue for at least another week. The Peacocks are set to take on the North Carolina Tar Heels at 5:05 p.m. ET on Sunday.

The winner of that contest will take on Duke in the Final Four next Saturday.
