A notable college football head coach has reportedly been let go on Monday morning.
It was a very eventful weekend on the college football head coaching carousel. Florida hired Billy Napier away from Louisiana-Lafayette, Lincoln Riley stunned Oklahoma by leaving for USC and LSU continues to search for a new head coach.
The movement reportedly continued on Monday morning.
According to a report from Yahoo! Sports insider Pete Thamel, Temple has fired head coach Rod Carey. The 50-year-old head coach had been with the school since 2019.

Carey has been Temple’s head coach since the 2019 season. The former Northern Illinois head coach has gone 12-20 as the school’s head coach. Temple went 8-5 in 2019, 1-6 in 2020 and 3-9 this season.
It will be interesting to see where the program goes from here.
