The 2020-21 College Football Playoff featured the usual suspects. Alabama took down Notre Dame in one semifinal contest, while Ohio State upset Clemson in the other. The Crimson Tide went on to beat the Buckeyes in the College Football Playoff national title game.

What will we see in the 2021-22 College Football Playoff? Probably more of the same.

Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State are all favored to get back to the College Football Playoff. The Crimson Tide, Tigers and Buckeyes are all likely to start the 2021 season ranked inside the top five with an inside track at the College Football Playoff.

But do we have any "sleeper" teams for next year's playoff?

According to 247Sports' Brad Crawford, we do. The college football analyst has named six "sleeper" teams for next year's College Football Playoff.

The "sleeper" teams, according to the 247Sports guru, are:

  • Miami
  • Arizona State
  • Texas
  • Auburn
  • Boston College
  • LSU

Boston College is probably the biggest sleeper on this list. Clemson has absolutely dominated the ACC as of late and it's extremely difficult to imagine another program - especially Boston College - upsetting the Tigers on way to a conference championship.

Perhaps the 2021 college football season will be full of surprises, though.
