Few quarterback-wide receiver duos have been more productive in recent NFL seasons than Andrew Luck and T.Y Hilton. The Indianapolis Colts' star duo is no more, though, with Luck deciding to retire from the league.

Hilton, who like Luck was taken by Indianapolis in the 2012 NFL Draft, posted a heartfelt message for his quarterback on Twitter.

"Every time i think about it, Tears start to flow. No one understands you like i do. Our bond is one of a kind. I’ve decided to dedicate my season to my BEST FRIEND. I Love You 12," he wrote.

Luck said at his press conference that being able to throw the ball to Hilton was one of the main reasons he kept pushing through injuries in recent years.

Hilton's production dropped off quite a bit when Luck was injured in 2017. He totaled just 966 yards, his lowest mark since his rookie season.

The Colts will now move forward with Jacoby Brissett at quarterback, barring a trade.

Making sure Hilton's production level doesn't drop off will be one of Brissett's main priorities.
