Dallas Cowboys star pass rusher DeMarcus Lawrence wasn't very happy with what Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson said leading up to Sunday night's game.
“We’re going down to Dallas and our guys are gonna be ready to play … and we’re gonna win that football game, and when we do, we’re in first place in the NFC East,’’ Pederson said.
Lawrence responded prior to the game.
“Tell him to come on. We ready,” Dallas defensive lineman DeMarcus Lawrence said. “Can he play the game? So he might want to shut his ass up and stay on the sideline. He can’t play the game for them. The Eagles got to play them and he’s supposed to sit on the sideline and do whatever he wants to do. But he can’t play the game for them, so we’ll see.”
The Cowboys went on to beat the Eagles, 37-10, in dominating fashion.
Lawrence, who had a big strip sack in the first quarter, had a message for Pederson following the game.
"I feel like he got a statement today," Lawrence said on NBC postgame. "We're going to let him go sleep on it."
