A crew member has been transported to the hospital following a serious, non-life threatening accident at the Indy 500 this afternoon.
Chris Minot, the Crew Chief for Team RLL, was struck by a tire during a pit-stop accident during today’s race.

He was wheeled off the track following the injury.

The injury is a lower-body one and he’s been transported to IU Methodist Hospital for further evaluation.
