The message was a simple one.
“Let the light that shines in you be brighter than the light that shines on you,” the text message read.
Virginia basketball coach Tony Bennett said he received a text before the national championship game from a rival schools football coach. Clemson’s Dabo Swinney’s text simply said:

Virginia’s run to this year’s national championship was a special one.
The Cavaliers, one year removed from losing to a No. 16 seed in the first round, were once again a No. 1 seed.
Virginia didn’t lose a game in this year’s tournament, though. The Cavaliers beat Auburn in the Final Four and took down Texas Tech in overtime in the national title game.
Clemson, meanwhile, will look to defend its national title on the gridiron this fall.
