On a conference call with reports, former Raptors guard Danny Green revealed Leonard’s true intentions.

The NBA’s best two-way player signed a three-year deal with the Clippers. Initial reports suggested he signed a four-year max deal, but he eventually inked a two-plus-one deal with a player option.
Leonard can leave the Clippers in two years and enter free agency in 2021. After obtaining his NBA veteran status, Leonard will reportedly be eligible for a contract over $250 million for five years.
He’ll be able to enter free agency with the likes of LeBron James, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bradley Beal. Just two years after teasing NBA fans in free agency, he can do so yet again.
