While the focus in college hoops is on the NCAA Tournament, the UCLA Bruins are still on the hunt for their next head coach. There is no telling which candidate the program is leaning toward, but ESPN broadcaster Dick Vitale hopes they consider going after a current coach from the NBA.

UCLA fired Steve Alford toward the end of December following its loss to Liberty. Murry Bartow became the interim head coach for the rest of the season, as the assistant led the program to a 9-9 record in conference play.

Vitale has pushed for Rick Pitino in the past for UCLA. Now, the charismatic commentator wants the Bruins to pursue Luke Walton.

If the Los Angeles Lakers fire Walton it would make sense for him to go to the collegiate level. At 38 years old, the former athlete could probably relate easier to a young group of players than seasoned veterans.

Walton has experience in the Pac-12 due to his college career with the Arizona Wildcats. It'd be interesting if he could coach against his alma mater twice per season.

With rumors swirling about the Lakers firing Walton once the season ends, Vitale went on Twitter to advocate the idea of jumping over from the NBA to the NCAA.

UCLA has a plethora of young talent on its roster for 2019. Jaylen Hands and Moses Brown will give their next coach options in the paint or outside on the perimeter.

The Bruins have the most attractive head coaching job on the market, and any candidate fortunate enough to get the position should be honored.

Who do you think should be the next coach of UCLA?
