Donovan Mitchell reportedly received good news as far as his MRI after Game 5, but Utah's star guard is still dealing with pain.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, "The MRI on the left hamstring of Jazz star Donovan Mitchell was negative today, but Mitchell is dealing with bruising in both of his quads." Noting, "There remains optimism for his availability vs. Dallas in Game 6 on Thursday."

NBA Twitter reacted to the Woj news on Mitchell's status Tuesday. "There is no optimism that the Jazz will win, however," tweeted Jeff Hansen.

"It's the playoffs he's gonna play anyways," said a Mavs fan.

"If he don’t play just dig the gravesite now," another Mavs fan said of the Jazz.

"Hopefully he plays, but that's a lesson for coaches to stop playing their best players when the game is over," commented another user. "J-Kidd was risking it with Luka too shoulda yanked him the moment Bullock hit that 3 to put em up 89-65."

"Playoff underperformer with lingering hamstring issues? He’ll be a Sixer before the season opener," a user said of Donovan Mitchell.

"Donovan Mitchell playing with bad legs?" asked another fan. "Mavs scoring 150…"

"Glad to hear Donovan didn’t suffer a strain on his hamstring, but we ain’t gonna use this injury card… especially with the Mavericks."

"Mitchell said, 'I'll be fine,' when asked about his availability for Game 6 last night," tweeted The Kobe Beef. "'We'll see how I feel, but I'm a competitor.'"

Sounds like Spida will try to push through. But, it's something to monitor.
