Stop me if you’ve heard this one before: Duke now has the No. 1 recruiting class in the country heading into next season.
On Monday, four-star shooting guard Cassius Stanley announced that he was committing to the Blue Devils, giving the team a full five-man Class of 2019. Last week the team secured a letter of intent from five-star forward Matthew Hurt.
The addition of Hurt was more than enough to give Duke the No. 1 class title. Getting Stanley as well all but locks in the Blue Devils as the No. 1 class in the country, per 247Sports.
The Class of 2019 marks the fourth year in a row that Duke will have the No. 1 class in the country.

Duke’s new recruiting class now consists of Stanley, Hurt, five-star center Vernon Carey, five-star small forward Wendell Moore, and four-star combo guard Boogie Ellis.
The Blue Devils made it to the Elite Eight for the second year in a row after winning the ACC Tournament title.
Led by an NBA-caliber trio of Zion Williamson, R.J. Barrett, and Cam Reddish, Duke blew away just about all opponents before narrowly falling to Michigan in the Elite Eight.
Could this year’s class be capable of doing what Zion and company can’t?
