Philadelphia Eagles fans don't appear to be too happy with head coach Doug Pederson following one half of football against the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys are leading the Eagles, 27-7, at halftime of tonight's game on NBC's Sunday Night Football. Philadelphia would be getting shut out if not for a regrettable roughing the passer penalty by Dallas, too.

Prior to the game, Pederson made quite the prediction.

“We’re going down to Dallas and our guys are gonna be ready to play … and we’re gonna win that football game, and when we do, we’re in first place in the NFC East,’’ Pederson said.

That comment did not sit well with Cowboys fans - or players.

"Tell him to come on. We ready," Dallas defensive lineman DeMarcus Lawrence said. "Can he play the game? So he might want to shut his ass up and stay on the sideline. He can't play the game for them. The Eagles got to play them and he's supposed to sit on the sideline and do whatever he wants to do. But he can't play the game for them, so we'll see."

Eagles fans aren't happy with the comment after seeing how motivated the Cowboys were in the first half, either.

Now, Pederson's pregame comments probably didn't actually have that much of an effect on the game, but it's possible some of the Cowboys players were extra motivated by it.

Philadelphia's players, meanwhile, now have one half to prove their head coach right.
