The Philadelphia Eagles have rebounded from a tough start to the regular season and currently sit in a tie for first place in the NFC East.
Philadelphia, which had back-to-back losses in Week 2 and Week 3, has won back-to-back games to get to 3-2. The Eagles are tied with Dallas atop the NFC East.
The Eagles came into the season as a potential Super Bowl team and it appears that they’ll be interested in upgrading the roster as the season goes on.
Philadelphia is being mentioned as a potential suitor for two blockbuster NFL trades.
Bengals WR AJ Green
The Bengals have said they are not trading Green, though we’ll see if that mindset changes as the trade deadline approaches.
Green is reportedly getting healthy and, if the Bengals were to move him, the Eagles are a potential suitor.
NFL.com insider Gil Brandt mentioned Philadelphia as a landing spot.
“In a season that has been partly defined by the Eagles receivers’ inability to hold on to the ball, Green would provide Carson Wentz with at least one reliable targeting safe-haven,” he writes.
Jets DL Leonard Williams
Williams, a former top NFL Draft pick, could reportedly be on the trading block.
Sports Illustrated NFL insider Albert Breer believes that the Eagles could have interest in landing him.
“He’s making $14.2 million, and he isn’t necessarily the best fit for Gregg Williams defense. And he’s been a Pro Bowler, having made it in his second year in Todd Bowles’s defense. I’d think he’d be attractive to a team like the Eagles,” he reports.
Breer added that Green Bay and Kansas City could also have interest.
The Eagles are set to take on the Vikings in Minnesota on Sunday at 1 p.m. E.T.
