According to multiple reports, champion boxer Errol Spence Jr. was seriously injured in a car crash early Thursday morning in Dallas. Spence was reportedly driving a Ferrari at high speed.
Madison Sawyer of CBSDFW.com reports that Spence was ejected from his car during the rollover crash. He was transported to the hospital and remains in the ICU, but he’s expected to survive.
A photo of the car in the aftermath of the accident is horrifying.
The crash reportedly occurred just past 3:00 AM. Police told CBSDFW that Spence was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

Spence is one of the best pound-for-pound fighters in the world. He currently holds both the IBF and WBC welterweight titles. He’s amassed a 26-0 record that includes 21 knockouts.
Police have yet to release the name of the victim in the crash, but they have indicated that it is a 29-year-old “high-profile” male. Spence is 29 years old.
