One of the world's best golfers appears to be in some discomfort at the Masters.

Jason Day started his round earlier Thursday afternoon, but was seen getting treatment from medical staff during the round. Day entered the tournament with a clean bill of health, but appears to have re-injured his back.

According to a from ESPN, Day suffered the injury when picking up his daughter before play at August kicked off.

The report states Day picked up his daughter and then said: "oh my back."

"Jason Day on the second hole and already getting worked on. Re-injured his back after picking up his daughter before the round," Golf Channel's Ryan Lavner said.

Video showed Day laying on the ground getting his back stretched out. He then appeared to be walking gingerly down the fairway after hitting a shot. It doesn't look good.

Day has battled injuries and bouts of vertigo in the past, which took away from his stellar play on the course.

A 12-time winner on the PGA Tour, Day entered the Masters as one of the favorites. However it looks like he could be headed for an early exit instead.

Stay tuned for the latest regarding Day's injury.
