The ACC Championship will take place tonight and it should be one of the best games of the season. With Zion Williamson back in action, Duke will try to defeat Mfiondu Kabengele and Florida State.
Duke lost both its regular season games against North Carolina, but its victory last night clearly changed the mood in Durham. The Blue Devils are finally at full strength and showing everyone why they’ll be favorites to win the national title.
Florida State also picked up a pivotal win yesterday by shocking Virginia in the semifinals. As usual, head coach Leonard Hamilton went with his nine-man rotation to keep an uptempo pace on offense.
Despite the fact that both teams met back in January, the circumstances are much difference this time.
Williamson missed the entire second half due to an eye injury, meanwhile RJ Barrett had 32 points in a heroic effort. The Seminoles had the Blue Devils on the rope, but Cam Reddish knocked down a three-point shot for the win.
Unfortunately for Florida State, ESPN has it losing another showdown with Duke. Its matchup predictor gives the Blue Devils an 81.7 percent chance of winning the ACC Tournament.
If Duke wins tonight it’ll guarantee a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament.
