The 2019 college football season is still months away, but preseason projections are rolling in from ESPN.

The Worldwide Leader published its initial College Football Playoff projections this morning, using its Football Power Index.

ESPN believes two teams are locks for the postseason.

All of ESPN's projections have both Alabama and Clemson making the College Football Playoff. They are the only two teams in each of the projections.

Statistically, ESPN gives Clemson a better than 80 percent chance to make the playoff, with Alabama at better than 70 percent.

No other team on ESPN's projections has a better than 50 percent chance of making it.
