Everyone following or covering the NBA is trying to read the tea leaves to see where LeBron James might sign this offseason. There's a new rumor every day.

Legendary NBA point guard Gary Payton raised some eyebrows when he said LeBron's son LeBron James Jr. has committed to play for Sierra Canyon High School, a private school in the Los Angeles suburbs.

Payton's information led to many speculating that LBJ will sign with the Los Angeles Lakers. The Lakers are looking to make a splash in free agency and have been viewed as one of the favorites to land James.

For what it's worth, NBA reporter Chris Palmer said to hold the presses on LeBron Jr. suiting up for Sierra Canyon.

Further pouring water on the fire is ESPN NBA insider and LeBron expert Brian Windhorst. Windhorst cautions everyone that there's no sense in chasing or reading into every little piece of info about James and his family.

Expect plenty more rumors and speculation as the summer rolls along.
