ESPN NFL analyst Rex Ryan wasn't pleased with how Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson handled himself leading up to Sunday night's game against the Dallas Cowboys.

Pederson kind of guaranteed a win over the Cowboys in the days leading up to the game, then walked it back a little bit prior to kickoff.

“We’re going down to Dallas and our guys are gonna be ready to play … and we’re gonna win that football game, and when we do, we’re in first place in the NFC East,’’ Pederson said.

The Cowboys ended up blowing out the Eagles, 37-10.

"To me, man, pull a Buddy Ryan. If you're going to say it, double down on it," Ryan said on ESPN's Get Up! "Doug Pederson, come on dude. It's like a skunk - you pull the skunk out of the box, you can put him back in like he tried to do. Well, that smell is still out there. Dallas had that smell and beat the heck out of you.

"I'm just telling you, man up."

Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, meanwhile, had a more blunt response to Pederson's pregame comments.

"We don't give a f--k what Doug Pederson says," he said.

The Eagles dropped to 3-4 on the year with the loss, while the Cowboys improved to 4-3, taking control of the NFC East.
