Earlier Tuesday afternoon, comments from Jacksonville Jaguars owner Shad Khan about Urban Meyer started making the rounds.

Khan made it clear he lost respect for head coach Urban Meyer, which facilitated Meyer's firing. He said it had nothing to do with the losses the Jaguars were racking up.

"It was not about wins and losses,” Khan said. “I think when you know someone is not truthful, how can you be around someone, OK? We had Doug Marrone here four years. We had Gus Bradley here four years. I have nothing but the utmost respect and friendship with them. That’s why they got the time, because it wasn’t a matter about respect or truth. It was a matter of wins and losses over four years. This is much bigger than that."

Of course, his comments all brought out the same reaction from those on social media. Everyone made some version of the same joke, blaming Khan for the situation he put his team in.

Check it out.

Fans don't feel bad for Khan because he was the one that hired Meyer in the first place.

After a tumultuous 2021 season, the team hired former Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson. The Super Bowl-winning coach should help to stabilize the organization and help Trevor Lawrence reach his potential.
