Ezekiel Elliott and the Dallas Cowboys are reportedly making a push to reach a deal before practice on Wednesday. In fact, talks have been progressing so well that he’s officially back in the Lone Star State.
The Cowboys have depth in their backfield with Alfred Morris and Tony Pollard. And yet, the team knows that neither option can dominate defenses the way Elliott can.
With both sides progressing toward a contract extension, the All-Pro running back and his agent Rocky Arceneaux made the trip from Cabo to Dallas.
Elliott has arrived in Dallas and it didn’t take very long for someone to get a picture of him.

There’s no telling if the Cowboys will sign Elliott to a long-term deal by tonight, but things are looking good right now.
Nonetheless, the likelihood is that Elliott won’t miss much time this season. After all, the former first-round pick might not even miss Week 1.
It’ll most likely come down to whether or not Dallas will make Elliott the highest-paid running back. In order to do so, the front office will have to hand him an annual salary of roughly $15 million.
Stay tuned for all the latest on Elliott and the Cowboys.
