Ezekiel Elliott is still holding out on the Dallas Cowboys, and with just a few weeks left until the regular season starts, both sides are running out of time to get a deal done. FOX Sports personality Skip Bayless thinks the Cowboys just gained a major bargaining chip.
Tony Pollard, a running back the Cowboys drafted in the fourth round of this past year’s NFL Draft, had a nice preseason game against the Los Angeles Rams over the weekend. In the contest, he rushed five times for 42 yards with a touchdown. He also caught one pass for nine yards.
Bayless believes that the Cowboys have found a “starting quality” running back in the Memphis product.
While he admits that Pollard isn’t Zeke, he also thinks it will “speed” up the process of him winding up signing a deal.
Bayless called the situation “advantage Jerry Jones.”

Elliott has been one of the best running backs in the NFL since he entered the league. He’s holding out in hopes of negotiating a better contract.
Dallas has two preseason games left before the regular season kicks off. They’re schedule to start their regular season campaign against the New York Giants on September 8.
