Jerry Jones has been brutally honest – perhaps to a fault – during this Ezekiel Elliott situation.
The Cowboys’ owner replied “Zeke who?” to a question about Dallas’ negotiations following a preseason game on Saturday night.
Elliott was reportedly not a fan of that comment.
“I didn’t think it was funny and neither did Zeke — we actually thought it was disrespectful,” agent Rocky Arceneaux told ESPN’s Chris Mortensen on Monday afternoon.
Jones was joking, noting that the Cowboys’ rookie, Tony Pollard, should be a great help to Elliott, though it clearly didn’t go over too well in Zeke’s camp.
The Cowboys are now less than three weeks away from opening the regular season against the Giants. Will Zeke be on the field when they do?
