A top SEC program just flipped a major recruit from a Big Ten power.

The Penn State football program has been hemorrhaging recruits over the past few weeks and it didn't get any better Saturday night.

At one point, Penn State sat in the top-10 of 2020 recruiting classes, but has now fallen outside the top-20.

Saturday night, the Florida Gators swept in and stole four-star linebacker Derek Wingo from James Franklin and company at Penn State.

Wingo took to Twitter with a message proclaiming his commitment to Dan Mullen.

"I would like to thank Coach Franklin and the entire Penn State staff for giving me an opportunity, and I am thankful for all the relationships that have been built between friends and fans...With that being said I would like to officially shut down my recruitment and announce that I'm 100% committed to the University of Florida," Wingo said in a statement.

With the commitment, Florida sits at No. 7 in the country and No. 4 in the SEC in 247Sports' Composite Rankings.

Penn State sits at No. 23 in the current rankings after losing the four-star linebacker.
