The Minnesota Vikings have a pivotal game today against the Detroit Lions, and it looks like third-year wide receiver Laquon Treadwell will not play a role.

Treadwell is a healthy scratch today. The Vikings announced he will be inactive moments ago.

It is the latest setback for the 2016 first-round pick out of Ole Miss.

Treadwell has struggled to establish himself in Minnesota, though he is having his most statistically productive season.

In 14 games (seven starts), Treadwell has caught 34 passes for 295 yards and one touchdown.

However, he saw just one target last week against Miami and has clearly fallen out of favor if he is inactive today.

The Vikings and Lions will kick off at 1 p.m. ET. Minnesota needs the win to stay in the lead for the final wild card spot in the NFC.
