It remains to be seen if GM John Lynch and the 49ers will indeed trade Pro Bowl wide receiver Deebo Samuel. But, if they do, one landing spot is currently the favorite.

According to NFL reporter Jeremy Fowler, the New York Jets could land him should he hit the trading block.

Football fans on Twitter reacted to the Deebo Samuel "front-runners." "Breaking news," tweeted Erika Esola. "Team WILL land player if they trade for him. Absolutely riveting stuff!"

"That’ll be end of his career right there," laughed another user.

"Water is wet, per [Jeremy Fowler]."

"That is how trades work," another fan commented.

"... Have to think if something is going to happen today would be the day," another user tweeted. "Physical, contract etc needs to be completed before a trade can go through. Hard to do that on the clock."

"Ohhhh yessssss," said a Jets fan.

"For ONCE can the football gods bless tf up????????????" asked another New York fan.

Jets have said that they're going to be aggressive; this would certainly be it.
