Giants Reveal Reason Odell Beckham Left Field Early Before Halftime

Odell Beckham Jr. walks off the field at MetLife Stadium.

The New York Giants were blown out by the Philadelphia Eagles tonight, losing 34-13. Odell Beckham Jr. had a rough night as well.

Just four days after his best game of the season, Beckham was a non-factor tonight. He caught only six passes for 44 yards and raised some eyebrows right before halftime.

With two seconds left in the half, a visibly frustrated Beckham was seen walking into the locker room as his team got ready to snap the ball. It didn't appear to be a good look, if he had in fact quit on his team.

However, Giants head coach Pat Shurmur said there was a good explanation for Beckham's early exit. He needed some treatment, specifically an IV.

Assuming this is true, Beckham wouldn't have been in the wrong leaving when he did. It is worth noting that Shurmur didn't discipline him in the second half after fining him this week, so it looks like he really did need an IV.

At this point, the Giants are a mess. Beckham is on the verge of exploding it seems, but who could blame him?

Massive contract or not, it is no fun playing on a bad team, and he has to fill like he's been wasted.
