The New York Giants will have a special guest call out their first pick of the 2022 NFL Draft.

Make-A-Wish recipient Sam Prince will join commissioner Roger Goodell on stage to announce the No. 5 overall pick for his favorite team. Sam learned that he would be making the call from Giants legend Eli Manning on Monday, per NFL.com.

Sam, a North Caldwell, New Jersey native, is battling a heart condition. He received a heart transplant and is doing "much better."

The Giants find themselves in a unique position with two top-10 picks in this week's NFL Draft. Sam will call the team's No. 5 pick, then the New York organization will make another selection (barring a trade) two picks later. The Giants acquired this year's No. 7 pick from the Bears during last year's pick swap for Justin Fields.

Sam is the first special guest picker and one of just two in the first round. An ESPN camera crew captured the moment Sam learned he would be making the pick for a "My Wish" series that will debut in July.

This week's draft will kickoff on Thursday, April 28.
