The No. 1 seed in the West Region has been eliminated from the NCAA Tournament, as Gonzaga has fallen to No. 3 seed Texas Tech in the Elite Eight.

The game was a great one, though it will be remembered for a couple of odd moments late in the contest.

One sealed the win for Texas Tech - a brutal mental mistake by Gonzaga's senior guard, Josh Perkins.

With Texas Tech leading Gonzaga by two points, Perkins reached over the baseline and made contact with the Red Raiders' inbounder.

That's a technical foul.

Texas Tech made its technical foul free throws and maintained possession, closing out the game.

It was a brutal way to finish the contest.

Texas Tech ended up winning the game, 75-69, to advance to the Final Four.

The Red Raiders will take on the winner of the East Regional final between Duke and Michigan State, who play on Sunday.
