Duke is all about the ridiculously lucky finishes in the NCAA Tournament this year, apparently. A couple of days after UCF's game-winning attempt rimmed out (twice!), Virginia Tech did something similar at the buzzer.

The Hokies, trailing the Blue Devils by two points with less than two seconds to play, drew up an incredible inbounds play for a shot at the buzzer.

Buzz Williams got his team a wide-open look at the rim, but the Hokies couldn't convert.

Duke moves on, topping Virginia Tech, 75-73, to advance to the Elite Eight.

It doesn't get much more heartbreaking than that.

Duke, meanwhile, will take on No. 2 seed Michigan State in the Elite Eight on Sunday evening with a trip to the Final Four on the line.

A game time and TV channel for the Duke-Michigan State matchup will be out soon.
