The fight between Will Smith and Chris Rock at The Oscars was reportedly started by a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith.

According to reports from The Academy Awards, Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith being in "G.I. Jane" due to her bald head.

Jada Pinkett Smith has struggled with hair loss, something she's opened up about in recent months.

Clearly, Will Smith was not a fan of the joke. He rushed the stage, punched Rock and yelled at him from his seats.

Video of the fight has gone super viral on Twitter.

"Chris Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett-Smith being in "G.I. Jane" because of her bald head. She's spoken openly about having a hair loss condition. Will Smith ran on stage, slapped Rock, then screamed twice at the top of his lungs 'KEEP MY WIFE'S NAME OUT OF YOUR F-NG MOUTH,'" Amy Kaufman tweeted.

Video from a commercial break shows Smith being comforted by Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry. "During the commercial break, Will Smith is pulled aside and comforted by Denzel Washington and Tyler Perry, who motion for him to brush it off. Will appears to wipe tears from his eyes as he sits back down with Jada, with Denzel comforting Jada and Will’s rep by his side," Scott Feinberg wrote on Twitter.

We could be hearing more from Smith later in the evening, as he's a favorite to win best actor for his performance in King Richard.

The Oscars are airing on ABC.
