Hue Jackson Comments On Browns Possibly Signing Dez Bryant

Dez Bryant celebrates after a touchdown.

The Cleveland Browns are at least kicking the tires on free agent wide receiver Dez Bryant. He is supposed to visit the team on Thursday.

While Cleveland could potentially use Bryant as a veteran target and utilize his ability in the red zone, there's no guarantee they sign him. Bryant himself has said he has other options on the table as well.

Browns head coach Hue Jackson spoke to the media today and addressed his team's pursuit of Bryant.

It sounds like both sides are in a wait-and-see mode.

There are some definite concerns about Bryant. After starring in his first five seasons with the Cowboys from 2010-14, he has been limited by injuries the last few seasons.

Additionally, Dez hasn’t broken the 1,000-yard barrier in four years, and he’ll be 30 in November.

Bryant caught 69 passes for 838 yards and six touchdowns last fall. He last topped the 1,000-yard mark in 2014.
