Duke and North Carolina are underway at Cameron Indoor Stadium and the game could not have started off in worse fashion for the Blue Devils.

The team's phenomenal freshman, Zion Williamson, has gone down with an injury. Williamson appeared to suffer a lower-leg injury in the game's opening seconds.

Williamson was down on the floor while North Carolina had the ball on the opposite end before time was called by the officials.

The potential No. 1 overall pick in the NBA Draft made his way off of the floor and is currently getting looked at by trainers.

The injury appeared to happen because of a malfunction with Williamson's shoe.

Here's video of the play:

Williamson appeared to be in some serious pain as he laid on the floor following the freak incident with the shoe.

North Carolina is off to an early lead against Duke, as the Tar Heels have taken an 8-3 lead against the Blue Devils with Williamson sidelined.
