The Los Angeles Rams are beating the Los Angeles Chargers in the Battle of LA. However, they just lost one of their major stars.

Cornerback Marcus Peters left the game in the second quarter after injuring his right leg. It didn't look good.

Peters was helped to the locker room, unable to put any weight on his injured limb.

Making matters potentially worse, the CBS broadcast of the game described what happened to Peters as an Achilles injury. There's been no official word yet, but if that is accurate, it is a brutal blow for Peters and the Rams.

Peters was one of several off-season acquisitions made by the Rams as the team tries to maximize its window to win right now. They picked him up in a trade with the Kansas City Chiefs.

Peters is one of several big-name players to be injured today, including San Francisco 49ers quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo and New York Giants tight end Evan Engram.
