Jay Williams was a part of some crazy wins during his time at Duke. The former All-American point guard led the Blue Devils to an epic 10-point comeback in the final minute of a game at Maryland in 2001. It’s since been dubbed the “Miracle Minute.”
Last night’s win at North Carolina wasn’t quite that insane, but it was close. Duke topped UNC, 98-96, in overtime.
Duke forced overtime with a wild missed free throw attempted turned into a game-tying shot by Tre Jones. The Blue Devils then won it in overtime with a tip-in at the buzzer.
Williams was stunned into silence by the victory. “No words for last night..” he tweeted on Sunday morning.

Most of the Dean Dome looked like that in the final minutes of Saturday night’s game. The Tar Heels were on the verge of a massive win in the rivalry, only to have it snatched away in ridiculous fashion.
Duke improved to 20-3 with Saturday night’s win, while North Carolina dropped to 10-13. A long season gets even longer for the Tar Heels.
