Joe Burrow’s got jokes.
The Cincinnati Bengals quarterback had a pretty good message for his rookie wide receiver, Ja’Marr Chase, following his team’s overtime win on Sunday.
Chase, who struggled with drops throughout the preseason, had five receptions for 101 yards and a touchdown in the win over the Vikings.
“I thought he was dropping everything,” Burrow remarked as he crossed paths with Chase on Sunday afternoon.

Chase had said that a lack of concentration led to his drops throughout the preseason.
“If you look back at it, I jumped in the air when the ball got to me,” Chase said following a preseason contest. “That means my eyes weren’t concentrated on the ball. I didn’t keep still. So that makes my eye adjustment for the ball move around.”
Things appeared to be fixed on Sunday.
The Bengals will look to improve to 2-0 on the season next week, when they take on the Chicago Bears at 1 p.m. E.T. on Sept. 19.
